Can’t remember what day is it today? And there we are! Opening up calendars on our mobile phones. Cell phones were meant to provide us the basic facility of helping us connect to our loved ones who live far away from us. But as time progressed, the smart minds of our generation fit so many facilities into one tiny device the ‘Cell phone’. But with increased production and ease of accessibility, the standard of functioning has also been lowering ever since. While some cell phone carriers give you the best coverage, others will give you a reception with bare minimum working condition. It can get very challenging to be working with a carrier which does not have a wide reception. And switching carriers again and again can include a bit of a legwork. So it is vital that you choose a good cell phone carrier in your first go. We have rated four carrier networks for you in the decreasing order of their functionality. We will explain you why the respected cell phone carrier is given its designated position in this article. We also let you in on the details of coverage on the map and varios cell phone plans for you. Before we start rating these network operators, let us understand which major companies are the biggest virtual network providers in the USA and then among those companies we will rate them in the order of their performance starting from best and ending at worst. The biggest group of companies that provide virtual mobile services in the United States of America, also sometimes known as ‘The Big Four’ are Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. Now le’s rank them starting from best to worst:

Which Cell Phone Carrier Provides The Best Coverage

1. Verizon: This company has a nationwide network coverage of about 70%. When we say “network coverage”, we mean the 4G LTE network and not 3G. This is without a doubt very impressive percentage and no wonder people are moving on to this vendor with an increased speed. Verizon provides a very robust network coverage, meaning that it doesn’t break easy or doesn’t get disturbed easily as a result of one many possible interferences. This is the most attractive feature of Verizon network provider. When customers ask themselves “which cell phone carrier has the best coverage”? Verizon sure doesn’t fail them with its excellent coast-to-coast coverage. Not only does Verizon have an outstanding 4G coverage but it also has the best 3G networks amongst the Big Four covering almost 62% of the nationwide coverage. The only one tiny drawback for Verizon is its service price. If you want a world class service then you are also gonna have to loosen the purse strings a little bit. But again Verizon has a history of keeping its customers happy. For those who cannot afford thei top services, Verizon has a chain of services called Verizon Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs). These are less expensive carriers which entail from the major carriers and cover almost the same area.

2. AT&T Network: This is the second best network vendor covering almost 67% of the nationwide coverage, which is only three percent less than Verizon. So overall this isn’t a bad second choice. Many smaller carriers run on the robust network provided by AT&T which shows how great the coverage extent is. One of the best services that this network provides is something called a “Coverage map”. As the name suggests, this map highlights the part where AT&T provides a network with strong strength. So the major advantage this so called coverage map provides is, if you area a new customer or if you are and existing customer with AT&T and then you can have a look at the coverage map and see how the signal strength in your area is going to be like. So this will save you the trouble of switching back and forth from different networks. An amazing service provided by the AT&T attracts a huge customer base. But again, all these services come with a con and that con again in this case is the pricey plans that they offer. But unlike Verizon, they do no have a substitute lower priced plans, hence we put down AT&T on number two in this ranking.

3. T-Mobile: This vendor has the third best coverage in the country with a nationwide coverage of 62% which is five percent less than AT&T and eight percent less than Verizon. Most of the dead spots for T-mobile lie in the west regions, so if you are a westsider then you might need to take a better look at what vendor you wanna choose. The T-mobile also allows you to see the coverage by this vendor in your region, on top of that they distinguish the coverage by 5G, 4G and 3G in different parts of the map. T-Mobile has the highest coverage by its 5G network in the country, ranging upto 37%. The only con of this network is that there are dead spots in the west and 5G is slower than other network vendors.

4. Sprint: This network carrier is the last in our race of which cell phone carrier has the best coverage, mainly because it covers less than a third of the United States. The network coverage of Sprint falls far behind the network coverage of the other three carriers. It covers only 30% of the nationwide network coverage of the 4G network while the 3G network coverage is even lower at 25%. There are considerable dead spots in the coverage of Sprint, So even if you have the advantage of lower prices, the services are equally bad. So unless you live in the midwestern or eastern areas, you might want to look for a different network.
